A respected professional, Bradley DiTeresi is involved in real estate projects in Peru through Casas Hof Constructora e Inmobiliaria. A Catholic who maintains an active church presence, Bradley DiTeresi is also active through Unbound in sponsoring children in Kenya and the Philippines. The premise of Unbound is unique in emphasizing a “hand up,” rather than a handout, as donations assist families in their efforts to bring themselves out of poverty through self-initiative. Existing at the grassroots level, the Unbound program provides empowering support to those sponsored, toward goals spanning nutrition, education, and life skills. In addition to training and health care support, families may qualify to receive seed funds toward small farms and businesses. Over the course of the sponsorship period, they gain tools that allow them to become less reliant on outside giving and more self-sufficient. Child sponsorship represents a personal commitment that includes letter writing and active communication that motivates and inspires.

Headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, Unbound is a nonprofit sponsorship organization that helps families living in extreme poverty by connecting them with sponsors in the United States. The organization’s Hope for a Family program provides vulnerable populations such as children and the seniors with basic necessities such as food, education, clothing and access to medical care. For an average contribution of just $30 a month, sponsors empower children and entire communities to become more self-sustaining. In addition to financial support, sponsors can exchange letters and photos with their sponsored friends; they may also choose to participate in a mission awareness trip to see firsthand the impact of their support. |
